As the contemporary art museum at MIT, the List Visual Arts Center presents six to nine gallery exhibitions, including a series of work by emerging artists known as List Projects, as well as a broad range of educational programs, events, and publications. The List maintains and adds to MIT’s permanent collection; commissions new works through MIT’s Percent-for-Art program, a collection of site-specific artworks throughout the campus; and manages the Student Loan Art Program, lending over 600 art works yearly to MIT undergrads and grad students. Programs are free and open to the general public.
